Hoping to Adopt

Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my blog. I hope you will find it informative and enjoyable. Let me introduce myself and my family. My name is Karri and my daughter Ami turned 5 years old in July. She was adopted from China in 2005 and is so excited to become a big sister. We have a lot of love between us and can't wait to share it with a little brother or sister. I'm not going to assume that I know what you are thinking or feeling, because no one knows that but you. People are always telling me how much they admire me for adopting my daughter, but in reality it is the birthparents that are making the amazing choice of love that I admire. No one truly knows how you feel about your decision, and no one will be able to make that decision for you. Holidays


The holidays are upon us. I love everything about the holidays. I sewed Ami's Tinkerbell costume last weekend. This weekend was so much fun. We were able to dress up at school on Friday and then Friday night we had our church's "Pumpkin Patch." Last night we went trick-or-treating to our neighbor's houses and then we came home to pass out candy. We were supposed to go to another carnival but Ami wanted to stay home and see all the people that came to our door. We easily went through 75 "customers." Now we begin thinking about Thanksgiving and Christmas. My daughter is already asking about the order of the holidays and wants to know when Ground Hog's Day is. No we don't celebrate that, but last year at Pre-School it seemed to really impress her. Now she can't wait for ALL of the holidays.
